EPCOT was the Walt Disney Company’s first theme park to break the Magic Kingdom mold. It combined two ideas, Future World – a world’s fair style showcase of technology and World Showcase – a display of culture and design from around the world, into a one of a kind destination. Although the park has had to adjust its vision and strategy along with changes in the world, it remains largely the same concept as it had when it debuted in 1982.
Those changes are documented in an updated timeline that has been added in the hallway behind Club Cool in FutureWorld. The original timeline was added in 2007 and this new one has more details and includes attractions that opened in 2015 through 2016.

The original timeline was installed for the park’s 25th Anniversary. I’m glad the park has decided to keep updating this display and hope that means good things are head to celebrate the park’s 35th anniversary too.
