Star Wars: The Force Awakens extended TV spot features Kylo Ren

Disney and Lucasfilm have been recently released a few more TV spots, each with a focus on a different main character in the movie. This most recent one (the 11th depending on who is counting) features more of Kylo Ren, one of the big baddies in the movie. There are also a few more new clips including a very desperate sounding Finn.

Did you see all the new clips? Here’s what I noticed:

There was a lot of new dialogue. Some sounds like its between Supreme Leader Snoke and Kylo Ren. Apparently they’ve felt the force awakening and consider it a test to their cause. I wonder what they’re sensing? A new force sensitive? Luke’s lightsaber? We also hear Finn in a bit of panic and Rey (I think) urging they fight instead of run.

For the first time we have a clip of the First Order army, but behind them is a red flare, presumably a test of the Starkiller base weapon.

We get to see a bit more of Han Solo and Chewie as they emerge from the wreckage of that temple on a planet called Takodana. Looks like Han is just in time to lay down a blast on a storm trooper too. Looks like the same one Finn was fighting.

Speaking of fighting, there’s more awesome dogfighting action between Resistance pilots and First Order TIE-Fighters. We hear Poe Dameron ordering his pilots into battle, which looks insane.

Despite all the new clips, we really don’t have that much more new in footage. We know there will be some battles on Jakku, the forest planet Takodana, and above the snowy hills of the Starkiller planet. We still don’t know where Luke is or really what the awakening is all about. Plus just who is Rey?

All that mystery, plus just my huge fandom, still has me looking forward to December 18th when Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in theaters. How about you?
