Disneyland kicks off 60th Anniversary with 24-hour party!

Disneyland is turning 60 this year and rolling out three new night time spectaculars as part of its Diamond Celebration. It’s time to party the night away and Disneyland is making that easier than every by kicking off its anniversary events with a 24-hour party spread across both theme parks. You know you want to be there!

The all-day/all-night celebration will begin at 6 a.m. Friday, May 22, and concludes 24 hours later at 6 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015. In addition to the debut of three new night shows, the event will include dancing and special character encounters at locations in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks, along with enchanting Diamond décor throughout the resort.

Your regular theme park admission is all that’s needed to attend (park-hopper capabilities needed if you want to enjoy both parks, of course). This is the third year in a row for the 24-hour event.

Although crowds tend to thin out toward the end, expect it to be fairly crowded. But don’t let that stop you. Many guests dress up in Disney Cosplay or Disney Bound outfits and the atmosphere is one of a good time being had by all. Plus how often do you get a chance to see the sunrise from inside Disneyland?

If you’re planning to attend and would like to report on the event for The Disney Blog, please drop us a line.
