Disney suspends all operations in Tokyo

The Walt Disney Company just announced that they have suspended all administrative and Disney store related operations in Tokyo, Japan.

“Our top priority is the well-being of our employees and their families during this challenging time and we will continue to closely monitor the situation as it develops,” read a statement released by Disney.

This is separate from Tokyo Disney Resort, which is operated by the OLC group. No word from Disney if they will be evacuating employees or for how long this downtime will be.

This is another great move by Disney who appears to be handling all aspects of this tragedy with class.

Everyone at The Disney Blog hopes that everyone involved in Japan recovers quickly and completely as possible.
