Tried to register, website is confusing and it looks like it’s for some kind of “Sports Enthusiast event”, when I emailed the organizers this is the reply I got:
“We appreciate your interest in the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade telecast. You may have read reports in the local media that tickets were available to the general public. Unfortunately, using sources other than Disney Parks, the media misreported this information and that is not the case for the telecast taping.
If you are not currently a Disney cast member or an active Disney Sports volunteer, you are not eligible for a pre-registered ticket; however all guests are invited to join us at the Magic Kingdom Park for the filming using regular park admission. Filming for the Christmas Parade is scheduled to take place along Main Street, U.S.A and at Cinderella Castle Stage on December 3 and 4.”
Very disappointed. Couldn’t find the link to register for several days now. This was such a wonderful opportunity for my family since we can’t afford regular admission. Disney is our favorite place on earth! We were really looking forward to being a part of this taping. Urgh! Now for the dreaded disappointment from the kids…..
It’s sad that as a resident of Orlando, Disney has changed the rules for the taping of the Disney Parade. Disney Donated over $200,000 to a candidate during the last elections but they do nothing for the people of Central Florida. An annual pass with blackout dates is $1,100 for a family of 4. In today’s economy you would think that Disney would want to do something nice for the people of Orlando but I guess that’s not the case. My family has always enjoyed being able to visit the parks and watch the parade but i guess Disney is being a little Scrogish this year. That’s sad really, really sad. Merry Christmas Disney!!!!
