Counting down the days to the Festival? Looking forward to international marketplaces featuring tasty tapas and refreshing beverages? Eager to cultivate your cooking skills? Excited to enjoy an exhilarating outdoor concert?

A new special event from Tables in Wonderland offers a special sneak preview of the 2012 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Reserve your spot at the Odyssey Pavilion and taste your way around the world. The event is on Saturday July 28, 2012 6:30pm – 9:00pm and is priced at $110.00 per person, plus tax. Gratuity is included, so that is nice.

Join friends as you sample the food and hear speakers talk about the new and exciting things we have in store for this year! Learn what new marketplaces will be added, as well as new special events. Be one of the first to be “in the know” as we “taste our way around the world”!

For reservations, please note the new process: visit the following website www.disneyurl.com/SneakPreview for self-booking and instant confirmation.

The website will go live and begin taking reservations on Monday July 2, 2012 at 10:00am.

I used to be a Tables in Wonderland discount dining card holder, and if my finances ever allow, I will join up again. The food discounts are totally worth it if you enjoy sit-down dining at Walt Disney World’s parks and resorts. But the benefits don’t end there. Tables in Wonderland often has some amazing food and drink based events that are truly a Disney fans dream.

Their latest event will take attendees to the set of the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular for a themed dinner that only Disney can produce. The event is April 30th and the $160 tickets are on sale right now. You must be a member to attend.

Tables in Wonderland, formerly the Disney Dining Experience, is a program available to Florida residents and annual passholders that gives a 20% discount on dining locations around the resort. We used to belong, but quit because our favorite location was no longer included. Looks like they’ve just added that location back along with a number of others.

New as of January 2010!

Epcot®: Tokyo Dining Location Only (Not Teppan Edo)
Disney’s BoardWalk Resort: Kouzzina by Cat Cora (formerly Spoodles)
Disney’s Wide World of Sports: ESPN® Sports Cafe
DOWNTOWN DISNEY® Marketplace: Fulton’s Crab House
DOWNTOWN DISNEY® Pleasure Island: Portobello
DOWNTOWN DISNEY® West Side: House of Blues®, Wolfgang Puck® Cafe
Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort: Il Mulino New York Trattoria, Kimonos, Shula’s Steak House, Todd English’s bluezoo

If you plan on dining out at WDW sit down restaurants (keep in mind that DAK has three counter service locations on the plan, plus a buffet) and spending more than $550 over the course of the year on food and drinks at those locations, then the Tables in Wonderland card makes sense for you. For some locations (Jiko, California Grill) that’s just a couple of meals if you include a wine flight.

If you are a member of Disney’s Dining Experience program “Tables in Wonderland” and have been looking forward to checking of the new The Wave restaurant at The Contemporary Resort, put down April 16th on your calendar. An intimate event limited to just 50 guests will celebrate Florida Seafood. Reservations are required (see below)

The Wave Restaurant is delighted to offer a special series of dining events for the Tables in Wonderland Members. The second event will celebrate Florida seafood and feature the very freshest sustainable Florida fish. We anticipate Yellowfin Tuna, Cobia, Wahoo and Barramundi to be available and will choose the very best of these items for our Tables in Wonderland Members.
