Studio Gibli: Howl’s Moving Caslte

For the life of me I can’t find where Miyazaki’s latest masterpiece will be playing here in Orlando. You’d think they would have it at Disney World. In the meantime there were two great pieces on him recently, one in the NYTimes and one at NPR (audio, of course, including an interview with the master… Read More »Studio Gibli: Howl’s Moving Caslte

My Life as Mary Poppins…

There’s a new blog I’ve been reading that provides supercalifragilistic insight into the world of a walk-around Disney character at Disney World. She calls herself Lauren and here’s an example of what happened one day when she played the part of Mary Poppins. Unfortunately I haven’t had much time to explore or play VMK. But Zlatan has and here’s his very nice review. Btw,… Read More »Review: Disney’s Virtual Magic Kingdom

News Roundup

Don’t have much time to post recently, if you haven’t noticed. But I’m working on it. If you happened to visit the new OrlandoSentinel website this morning you would have seen these three stories in the news. The Weinstein Brothers are emptying the storage closet ahead of their departure from the Disney fold. A few… Read More »News Roundup

I get email!

Disney World has been taken over by the red shirts this last week. No, it’s not some Trekkie convention of sacrificed ensigns, nor is it a star wars fest (although those overlapped some). It is the 2005 Gay Days event; an annual event that brings 130,000-150,000 fine and well funded gay and lesbian tourists to… Read More »I get email!
