Write for The Disney Blog
The pace of Disney related news has again picked up. Not just are more people writing about Disney. But The Walt Disney Company is doing a lot more online itself. So once again, The Disney Blog is looking for Disney fans to join the team and help explore the news about all facets of the Walt Disney Company, its history, and the Disney fan community.
In particular The Disney Blog is looking for someone willing to do any or all of the following:
- Disney theme park food and merchandise,
- Disney owned TV including Disney Channel, ABC, Disney+, etc,
- Disney travel hints and advice,
- Marvel, Lucasfilm, Fox, Muppets and related acquired franchises
- general Disney business reporting (includes ESPN and other divisions).
But really just about any topic is fine as long as it pertains to Disney.
Having your own blog is not an obstacle. As long as its content is PG-13 rated, you’re welcome to link back to it with every post. Not having your own blog is no obstacle either. New blog authors will be expected to post at least once a week, but more frequent posting is encouraged. This is not a paid position at this time.
If you’re interested, please send an email to johnfrost [at] gmail [dot] com. Briefly let me know where your interests lay and where I can see any of your online writing.
Author Bios
The numbers of talented people who post on The Disney Blog have begun to grow, so I thought it would be important to set up some sort of permanent introduction to each of them. Here they are in no particular order.
Adam Britten
Bio: Adam Britten is a self-proclaimed Disney geek. From a very young age, he fondly remembers visiting the parks with his family on an almost yearly basis, which was quite the trek from Michigan. Currently a Master of Digital Marketing Student at Hult International Business School, Adam wishes on a star that he will one day work for the mouse’s marketing department. He’s visited Disneyland, Walt Disney World, & Disneyland Paris; he hopes to complete the world tour. His favorite Disney movies are Alice in Wonderland and Hercules.
Can also be seen on: Twitter as @AdamBritten, AdamBritten.com, and his new blog about the intersection between social media and theme parks at SocialThemeParks.com.
Whit Honea
Bio: Whit Honea is an award-winning writer and blogger, the father of two great boys and husband to one
luckylovely lady. His love for Disney began as a young boy with yearly family trips from Tucson to Disneyland, an official Mickey Mouse Club certificate on his bedroom door, and two front teeth that would make Goofy proud. He had a brief run as a cast member working for The Disney Store (back in the glory days) and has spent more money on Disney products than any sane person ever should. He proposed to his wife in the rose garden (which, for the record, he never promised you) of The Magic Kingdom, and has the pictures to prove it. Further evidence of his existence, including the occasional Disney rant, can be found in these ramblings. Can also be seen on: Honea Express, DadCentric, Wired’s GeekDad, and Disney’s Babble. Mike B.
Bio: Mike B. is the “very nerdy” writer of The Pixar Blog, the most popular blog on the Web dedicated to news about Pixar. His work on TPB has been cited by numerous major media outlets, including the Animation World Network (AWN) and The New York Times online. In 2008, TPB was named a Blog of Note by Blogger and made the homepage of Digg.com.
Besides Disney and Pixar, Mike is an avid fan of Apple, Inc.; the music of The Beatles; television shows 24, Law & Order, The Office, and reruns of Everybody Loves Raymond. His favourite movies include Forrest Gump, Father of the Bride (I &II), Jurassic Park, and Good Night and Good Luck. Mike is also a total news junkie, and enjoys anything involving news. He resides near Toronto.
