There are Disney fans… and then there are Disney Fans. The kind who pour their heart, soul, and a whole lot of patience into honoring the magic in ways most of us couldn’t dream of. Today on The Disney Blog, we’re spotlighting one such fan who did just that. Meet Robert Lisinsky who handcrafted a jaw-droppingly detailed paper model of the Disney Wonder cruise ship.
That’s right. Paper. Not a 3D printer. Not a kit. Just paper, precision, and pure passion.
This incredible model includes every visible deck, every railing, every lifeboat, and even tiny portholes, all made from scratch. It’s a love letter to the first ship Robert sailed on in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. The attention to detail is so precise, you’d be forgiven for thinking it came out of an Imagineering lab.
Even more impressive, the model wasn’t built for profit or display. It was a personal project. one a year of evenings, weekends, and plenty of trial and error. We got the chance to sit down with Robert to hear how the idea took shape, what went into building the model, and why this particular ship means so much to him.
