Nominees have been announced for the 76th annual Writers Guild Awards, and The Walt Disney Company received 27 nominations across the Guild’s Film, Television, and Radio categories.
Disney didn’t receive any film nominations, but did receive a wealth of nods for television.
20th Century/Fox’s “The Simpsons” received four nominations, while FX’s “The Bear” received three.
In fact of all of the brands recognized, FX led the nominations, with additional nods for “A Murder at the End of the World,” “Fargo,” “Reservation Dogs,” and “What We Do In the Shadows.”
Hulu had single nominations for the series “Only Murders in the Building,” “Futurama,” “History of the World, Part II,” and “The Great,” along with the TV films “No One Will Save You,” and “Quiz Lady.”
ABC received single nods for “Abbott Elementary,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” “The Chase,” “Jeopardy!,” and “General Hospital,” which has a 50/50 shot of winning.
Disney+ has single nominations for “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” “Goosebumps,” and “American Born Chinese.”
ABC News also snagged 2 nods for its radio news stories.
The winners will be announced on April 14, 2024, at the Writers Guild Awards ceremony at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, California, which will not be televised or streamed.
