As part of Walt Disney World’s “Celebrate Soulfully” celebration of Black heritage and culture, Broadway performer and Orlando native Michael James Scott will appear as the Honorary Parade Grand Marshal for the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom this week.
The Details
Michael James Scott will conduct his parade duties on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, along the parade route all the way down through the park to Main Street, U.S.A., around 3pm ET.
Scott, who is best known for playing Genie in Disney’s Aladdin Broadway show, is in town for the next two weeks, appearing in the DISNEY ON BROADWAY performances at EPCOT International Festival of the Arts.
He is teamed with Mandy Gonzalez (“Aida”) for shows at the American Gardens Theatre at the American Pavilion on February 9, 11, 12, 15, 18 and 19, 2024.
Performances are scheduled for 5:30pm, 6:45pm, and 8pm on each of those days.
How to See Him
Valid park admission is required for both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, and reservations are still required unless you have a ticket for a specific date or it’s an annual passholder “Good-to-Go” day (PS: Jan 6 is one!).
