Disneyland Hotel is officially reopening its doors on Thursday, January 25th, after a two-year reimagining, marking a new milestone in the ongoing transformation of Disneyland Paris hotels.
The Details
Disneyland Hotel has been one of the resort’s most iconic lodgings since it was built for the grand opening in 1992.
Now, reimagined, Disneyland Hotel is the first Disney Hotel to offer a five-star journey celebrating Disney royalty. From “Cinderella” to “Frozen,” and “The Princess and the Frog” to “Moana,” guests will be given the lead to become part of the story and create their own magical moments.
It starts at the front desk, where guests will receive a complimentary welcome book produced by a French papermaker, which includes the story of the hotel and useful information.
The hotel’s new refined design includes regal-themed lobby, restaurants, bar and lounges, and more.
One focal point of the hotel is the impressive chandelier in the hotel lobby, the brainchild of a creative and innovative concept developed by Walt Disney Imagineering Paris teams. It was crafted in the Czech Republic by a glass-blowing specialist, who perfected an innovative process to magnify priceless crystal.

The Rooms
All 487 rooms and suites – 346 Superior Rooms, 82 Deluxe Rooms, 41 Castle Club Rooms, 16 Signature Suites, 1 Princely Suite and 1 Royal Suite – are entirely redesigned with an elegant atmosphere as well as modern comfort and luxury amenities.
The tradition of Disney storytelling can be found inside all rooms and suites, from artwork and subtle touches that celebrate iconic elements of Walt Disney Animation Studios royal stories down to the last décor details.
Guests staying in The Castle Club – an exclusive hotel within the hotel – will enjoy a range of VIP benefits and services, including extra privacy with a dedicated private elevator and check-in area as well as a breakfast with Disney Princess Characters in the Castle Club Lounge. Suites will offer unprecedented levels of immersion into royal Disney stories.
Dining and Lounges
Inspired by the opulence of vast reception rooms found in every castle, The Royal Banquet invites guests to attend a royal feast amidst a gallery of paintings portraying numerous Disney royal families, such as King Triton and his 7 daughters from The Little Mermaid, the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland, Prince John from Robin Hood or even Kronk from The Emperor’s New Groove.
Guests will choose from dishes influenced by the diverse cultures that inspired many beloved Disney stories like Spicy Cajun Shrimp dish that will pay tribute to Tiana’s native Louisiana. And for those with hearty appetites, a sumptuous oyster and seafood bar and meat carving stand will also be offered.
The Royal Banquet will even give guests the chance to meet and dine at lunch and dinner with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their friends decked out in their finest new and exclusive regal attire.
Those seeking a fine dining experience will find it at La Table de Lumière, where guests will enjoy a table service dinner in a space paying homage to the Beauty and the Beast ballroom scene, which itself was inspired by the Hall of Mirrors in Versailles Castle.
The menu will feature French fine dining using local gourmet delicacies such as roses from Provins, and will serve sea treasures like sole fished off the coast of France or European lobster with white cabbage and Meaux mustard remoulade.
It will cater to carnivores with an open rotisserie, and also offer plant-based dishes like quinoa with broad beans and morels, vegetable juice with red peppers, and pomegranate seeds.
And a celebration cake inspired by Belle’s rose will be available to mark special occasions.
At Table de Lumière, guests are invited to enjoy their regal meal in the company of Royal Disney Couples including Belle and her Prince (Beauty and the Beast), Aurora and Philip (Sleeping Beauty), or Tiana and Naveen (Princess and the Frog) in all-new exclusive regalia to meet and exchange in a grand setting for an interactive and unforgettable experience.
For a relaxing toast to their day of adventure in the Disney Parks, guests can take in a spectacular view of Fantasia Gardens, at the Fleur de Lys Bar, in a fleur-de-lys (French royal symbol) themed setting cast in regal shades of blue and silver, with a menu featuring flower-themed signature cocktails and a large selection of quality wines.
Reserved for guests staying in Castle Club rooms and suites, the Castle Club Lounge delivers a breathtaking view of Sleeping Beauty Castle and has refined, bright décor inspired by several Disney castle interiors and elegant engravings designed by the Walt Disney Imagineering Paris teams and handmade using ancestral techniques.
It offers a gourmet breakfast buffet topped with an à-la-carte menu, and a complimentary tea time with a selection of hot and cold beverages and sweet and savory snack options.
This experience is crowned every day at breakfast by an encounter with Disney Princess Characters such as Aurora, Rapunzel, Merida, Cinderella or Moana.
For the Children
Children will also be welcomed like princesses and princes during their stay. There will even be spaces tailored just to them such as the Royal Kids Club, where they will be immersed in augmented reality magic and unforgettable encounters, and the My Royal Dream experience, where young guests will be able to transform into their favorite Disney royalty with the help of regal hairstyles, special outfits, accessories and a little pixie dust.
With curated menus specially tailored for children, the Royal Banquet and La Table de Lumière restaurants are ready to serve up delicious restyled French traditional delicacies inspired by Disney characters, such as beef and carrots Parmentier or a POD (Protected Designation of Origin) Comté cheese puff pastry.
Spas aren’t just for adults, and the Disneyland Hotel Spa by Clarins is proof. Here, young guests will be able to unwind alongside their accompanying adults, splash about in the kid-friendly pool or the paddling pool, and even enjoy real spa treatments with kid friendly products provided by Nougatine Paris.
The Cast Members
The reopening of Disneyland Hotel is an integral part of the resort’s strategy to enrich the guest experience with even more immersive storytelling that is uniquely Disney, combined with an extraordinary standard of service, thanks to the Cast Members who bring the magic to life.
The heartbeat of this enchanting location is a team of 800 Cast Members, each playing a central role in the new royal venue, and impeccably trained to provide personalized service to ensure that every guest receives royal treatment.
The Numbers
The 800 Cast Members who joined the Disneyland Hotel team – out of 3,300 across all Disney hotels representing more than 100 job types – each undertook extensive training for professional development.
The resort also works with more than 3,000 suppliers around Europe and beyond – including in the hotels – with 84% located in France. More broadly, Disneyland Paris has generated 63,000 direct, indirect and induced jobs in France since 1992, emphasizing its role in creating jobs and value through continuous investment.
The level of immersion in Disneyland Hotel was made possible by the work of Disneyland Paris teams, including Walt Disney Imagineering and its unique collaboration with Walt Disney Animation Studios, combined with the excellence of French companies renowned for their expertise and savoir-faire in a wide range of artistic skills, including tapestry, carpentry, weaving, glassmaking, porcelain and more.
More than 200 French and European companies have contributed to the hotel experience, such as Tissage des Flandres which created the tapestry for the Royal Banquet restaurant, Paris-based Atelier Bournillat which contributed exquisite décor for the Signature Suites, and French family-owned Maison Pierre Mignon which produced an exclusive champagne cuvée. Each collaboration offers a chance to integrate rich cultural elements into this unique hotel experience.
To create the cast member costumes, which are inspired by Victorian and medieval eras, as well as Disney princes and princesses, designer Karine Soares chose noble fabrics such as jacquard. The costumes were created in collaboration with the Dutel company, located near Lyon, as they have specialized in jacquard for eighty-five years, and have already worked with the resort on numerous costumes, such as those for the Cast Members of Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel. Très élégant!
