The Country Bear Jamboree inside Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World will close for refurbishment at the end of the month, and reopen with a new show and a new name.
The Details
Disney will close the Country Bear Jamboree on January 27, 2024, and reopen with a new show this summer in Grizzly Hall. When we hear of a date, we’ll share it.
As announced during last fall’s Destination D23 at Walt Disney World, the Bears have been learning a variety of classic Disney songs performed in various country music styles.
According to Disney, this new show is one that “pays homage to the Opry-style shows of Nashville.”
This new show will also have a new name: Country Bear Musical Jamboree
The Country Bear Musical Jamboree will include easter eggs from the beginning to the end, according to Disney, including a familiar tune fans may remember.
But, they say, the bears will sing new, reinterpreted Disney tunes in different genres of country music – like bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, rockabilly and other styles.
Country Bear Jamboree was one of the original attractions, and it opened on October 1, 1971. It is one of the very last attractions that Walt Disney personally helped develop

The Music
The new songs have already been recorded in the studio as shown in this behind-the-scenes clip originally showed at Destination D23:
