A little over a month out from the debut of the “Percy Jackson and The Olympians” series, and Disney+ has released a new trailer that helps set up the story.

This trailer sets up Percy’s transition to his status as a demi-god, as well as outlining this season’s missive: find Zeus’ thunderbolt.
We get a look at the major characters, along with the first look at Lin-Manuel Miranda in the show.

The Show
Based on the best-selling book series by author Rick Riordan, “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” follows 12-year old demi-god Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) who is just coming to terms with his newfound divine powers as the son of Poseidon (Toby Stephens) when the sky god Zeus (Lance Reddick) accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt.
With help from his friends Grover (Aryan Simhadri) and Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries), Percy must embark on an adventure of a lifetime to find it and restore order to Olympus.
Others cast in recurring or guest roles, include Virginia Kull, Glynn Turman, Jason Mantzoukas, Megan Mullally, Timm Sharp, Dior Goodjohn, Olivea Morton, and Charlie Bushnell, along with recent additions like Adam Copeland, Suzanne Cryer, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mark Duplass, and Timothy Omundson.
Debuting on December 20, 2023, the series will premiere with the first two episodes, then air a new episode weekly after.
