“The Marvels” will hit theaters this weekend, and Marvel Studios has released one last trailer for the film.
The Trailer
Showing historical clips from past Avengers films, this new trailer sets up the stakes facing our trio of superheroes – Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), and Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) – as they must go up against a new megalomaniac named Dar-Benn (Zawe Ashton), a Kree warrior revolutionary wielding an Accuser’s hammer and an identical bangle to Kamala’s, who is trying to destroy the universe and more.
With help from friends like Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson)…and was that Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson)??…the three must use their powers together to win.

The Film
In “The Marvels,” Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe.
When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau.
Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work their powers together to save the universe as “The Marvels.”
The film is directed by Nia DaCosta, and stars Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Zawe Ashton, Gary Lewis, Park Seo-Jun, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, and Samuel L. Jackson.
