The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds flight demonstration team will again make a thrilling flyover of Walt Disney World on Monday, October 30th, for Disney’s annual salute to veterans.
The Details
The Thunderbirds will do two passes over Magic Kingdom and EPCOT beginning at 10:30am ET, weather permitting (so far it looks to be sunny according to local meteorologists).
This event helps Disney kick off National Veterans and Military Families Month in November, and Walt Disney World also uses this event to honor military and veteran members of the DISNEY SALUTE military employee resource group.
The Walt Disney Company says it has been a leading proponent of hiring, training and supporting military veterans with the Heroes Work Here initiative, the Heroes Supply Here program, and Disney’s Veterans Institute.
Where to Watch
The best places to watch the Thunderbird fly over is inside the Magic Kingdom (in front of Cinderella’s Castle, and along Main Street U.S.A, especially on the balcony level of the train station at the front of the park).
A valid park reservation and admission are still required to watch from inside the park.
Otherwise the Grand Floridian and Polynesian Resort beaches, or the Ticket & Transportation Center by the ferries should have good views of the jets as they head towards EPCOT for a turnaround and second run.
