The winter season is almost upon us at Walt Disney World…Disney’s Blizzard Beach is set to reopen November 6th offering a winter wonderland of fun for guests.


The Details

Disney’s Blizzard Beach is located near Disney’s Coronado Resort, and features water-based rides from the thrills of Summit Plummet, Runoff Rapids, and Toboggan Racers, to the chills of Cross Country Creek’s lazy river.

The little ones will enjoy Tike’s Peak with its “Frozen”-themed hangout featuring Anna and Elsa in their igloo castle and a wading pool where kids can splash around with Olaf and his Snowgie pals.

The water park also has food and drink for purchase, and parking is free. Plus a park reservation is not required to visit.

New in 2023, guests can check out two new items at Arctic Expeditions:

  • S’mores Churros – Churro bites topped with graham cracker crumbs, marshmallow whipped cream, chocolate sauce and toasted mini marshmallows
  • Banana Split Churros – Churro bites topped with banana slices, sliced strawberries, pineapple chunks, cookie and brownie pieces, chocolate and caramel sauce, whipped cream and a cherry.

Warming Hut will also have new dishes like Honey Sriracha Chicken Wings and Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings.

Season Pass

New this year is the Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass! This new pass allows guests to visit Disney Water Parks every day through May 24, 2024, for just $79 plus tax.

The seasonal pass has no block out dates and no reservations are required.


Typhoon Lagoon

Whenever Disney’s Blizzard Beach opens, that means Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park closes.

So if you want to enjoy Typhoon Lagoon before it closes, you have until November 5th. It closes for the season on November 6th.
