Walt Disney World has announced a new limited time Florida resident ticket called the 2-Park Explorer Ticket, and here’s what you need to know.
The Details
Florida residents can purchase a Florida Resident Disney 2-Park Explorer Ticket, which is valid for admission to EPCOT and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park only, from August 1 through September 29, 2023.
Ticket holders can choose to enjoy 2 days at a single park (EPCOT or Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park), or they can enjoy 1 day at EPCOT and 1 day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park.
This ticket can be used on consecutive or non-consecutive days, but there is no park-hopping with this ticket.
Both a theme park reservation and valid theme park ticket for the same park on the same date are required to enter a park.
There’s so much to do at both parks during the availability of this ticket. The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival runs through November 18, 2023, and the Disney100 celebration kicks off September 22.
Plus I hear there have been several baby animals being born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom recently.
Cost
The Florida Resident Disney 2-Park Explorer Ticket price is $159 plus tax per person.
It is possible to upgrade the ticket for an additional fee to include a Water Park and Sports option, which brings the ticket price to $194 per person.
In addition to the 2 theme park admissions, this upgrade gives the ticket holder 2 visits to a water park or other Walt Disney World fun. For each visit, you can choose one of the following:
- Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park
- ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
- Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course
- Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course – FootGolf
- Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course (prior to 4:00 PM)
- Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course (prior to 4:00 PM)
Proof of Florida residency is required at the time of purchase, or all adults with this ticket will need to show proof of Florida residency at a Walt Disney World park ticket window.
