“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” hits theaters at the end of June, and to celebrate, Walt Disney World will be offering Indiana Jones-themed food and drink for a limited time.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Starting June 9, a new pop-up outpost called “Indiana Jones: Den of Destiny” will open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
According to the signage at a media preview held today:
“Starting June 9 for a limited time, adventurers and Indiana Jones enthusiasts will have a new destination to discover at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Enjoy exclusive lIbations inspired by daring explorers, step into photographable moments among rare antiquities from perilous expeditions, and discover costumes and props from pursuing the Dial of Destiny. There’s no better place for fans to celebrate.”
It appears this new temporary bar will be located in the Echo Lake area of the park, near the “Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular,” which makes sense.
Two speciality drinks will be served:
- The Adventuress Margarita – Featuring Corazon Blanco Tequila, Passionfruit Papaya Green Tea, Cucumber, Lime, and Agave
- The Weathered Fedora – Consisting of Old Forester Bourbon, Sweet Vermouth, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Star Anise, Ginger Bitters, and nutmeg. Served over an Ice Sphere
And I’m happy to reveal they also have one non-alcoholic option:
- L’Atlantique Green Tea – Pomegranate-Green Tea mixed with Blood Orange, Lemon Juice, and Agave Nector
Disney Springs
The Indiana Jones-themed food and drink will also be coming to Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar at Disney Springs, which is themed after the adventurer.
From June 30 through August 15, all guests can enjoy two new dishes:
- Giant Bacon for All Mankind – chocolate covered bacon
- Marché Stuffed Dates and Figs – Marcona almond and goat cheese stuffed dates wrapped with prosciutto, Cognac figs, and Cippolini onion
Those 21+ can also try “The Charter Flight,” which includes three currently available cocktails (“Reggie’s Revenge,” “Cool-Headed Monkey,” and “The Mayor’s Reserve”) in a trio flight.
The Ganachery at Disney Springs will also be offering two Indiana Jones-inspired chocolate treats:
- Indiana Jones Piñata — Milk Chocolate Piñata with Chocolate Boulders
- Marion’s Medallion — Solid Dark Chocolate Pop with Crisp Raspberries and Milk Chocolate Crisp Pearls (the design is similar to the Headpiece to the Staff of Ra from “Raiders of the Lost Ark”)
No time frame was given, but most likely they will be available around the movie’s release.
The Film
“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” is the latest in the Jones saga, featuring Harrison Ford returning as the legendary hero archaeologist.
Indy is about to retire when he is thrust into a final adventure by his god-daughter Helena (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) to find the Dial of Destiny.
The film also stars John Rhys-Davies (“Raiders of the Lost Ark”), Antonio Banderas (“Pain and Glory”), Shaunette Renee Wilson (“Black Panther”), Thomas Kretschmann (“Das Boot”), Toby Jones (“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom”), Boyd Holbrook (“Logan”), Oliver Richters (“Black Widow”), Ethann Isidore (“Mortel”), and Mads Mikkelsen (“Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore”).
Directed by James Mangold (“Ford v Ferrari,” “Logan”), the film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel, with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas serving as executive producers.
John Williams, who has scored each Indy adventure since the original “Raiders of the Lost Ark” in 1981, is once again composing the score for this film.
“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” hits theaters on June 28 in the UK and France, and June 30 in the U.S. and other countries.
