Pixar wants fans to get to know Element City, the setting for their film, “Elemental,” coming to theaters this summer, and they’re doing so with a multi-city mall tour starting this weekend.
The Tour
“Disney and Pixar’s Elemental Experience” will hit five malls during its month’s long tour leading up to the film’s release.
Pixar says the tour will feature fun film-themed activities like photo and video opportunities, a chance to draw with Pixar artists, and a movie-ticket grab in a wind tunnel, among other family-friendly things to do to get to know what life is like in Element City.
It will be free to attend.
Here is the tour schedule:
- May 19-21: Brookfield Place – New York City (Manhattan)
- May 26-28: Yorktown Center – Chicago (Lombard)
- June 2-4: Stonebriar Centre – Dallas (Frisco)
- June 10-12: The Americana at Brand – Los Angeles (Glendale)
- June 16-18: Hillsdale Shopping Center – San Francisco (San Mateo)
The Film
“Elemental” takes place in Element City, a place where the physical embodiments of the four elements – water, land, fire, and air – coexist together.
The story introduces Ember (voiced by Leah Lewis), a tough, quick-witted, and fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade (voiced by Mamoudou Athie) challenges her beliefs about the world they live in.
Directed by Peter Sohn, the film debuts in theaters on June 16, 2023. Tickets are now on sale.
