The BBC has released first-look images of the 15th Doctor with companion Ruby Sunday filming a 60s-themed episode, plus we now know who the new villain will be for the next season, which will debut on Disney+ outside the UK in November 2023.

In these first look photos of the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) with his companion Ruby (Millie Gibson), they appear to be in the 1960’s time period but not much else is known about the episode. Do they look groovy or what?
Meet the Doctor’s Enemy
There hasn’t been a lot of information released about the character who will be the villain opposite the 15th Doctor, other than they will be “the Doctor’s most powerful enemy yet.”
But we do know now that the character will be played by Jinkx Monsoon, who rose to fame as winner of season 5 on “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” and season 7 of “Drag Race All Stars,” and has since appeared on stage and screen.

The Series
Starting in November 2023, Disney+ will air new episodes of the series in all territories outside of the UK and Ireland, where the BBC will still retain rights to air the show.
David Tennant, who played the Tenth Doctor in the early-2000’s, returns to play the Fourteenth Doctor is a trio of specials before Gatwa becomes the Fifteenth Doctor.
Other new confirmed cast members for the upcoming season include Yasmin Finney and Neil Patrick Harris, playing undisclosed roles.
“Doctor Who” began in 1963 on the BBC in the UK, which means the November 2023 start date of the upcoming season also coincides with the show’s 60th anniversary.
