Walt Disney World has announced the return of “Enchanted Tales with Belle” and “Ariel’s Grotto” attractions to Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom, and we have the dates.
Ariel’s Grotto
Venture into a seaside grotto, where you’ll find Princess Ariel among her treasures. She has gadgets and gizmos aplenty, and she’s always happy to make new friends.
This meet-and-greet attraction first opened in 1996, but closed in 2010 to make way for an expansion of Fantasyland. It reopened in October 2012 but closed during the park’s pandemic closure in 2020.
Ariel can be part of your world once again at the Magic Kingdom when the princess returns to “Ariel’s Grotto” beginning January 22, 2023.
Enchanted Tales with Belle
Step into Belle and Maurice’s quaint country cottage and marvel at the charming decor. Next, tour Maurice’s workshop, where you’ll see his inventive gadgets—and a special enchanted mirror the Beast gave to Belle.
Guests enter a room where Wardrobe interacts with the group, with the help of a cast member. They explain that guests will surprise Belle with a re-enactment of “Beauty and The Beast”. Volunteers are assigned parts and handed props, and then everyone is admitted to the Library in Beast’s Castle.
Belle enters the room, and then the production begins as cast members help the guest actors deliver their simple lines.
It concludes with participants having their photos taken with Belle before the princess leads the actors around the room to “Be Our Guest”.
The attraction first opened in December 2012 with the Fantasyland expansion, but has also been closed since the pandemic park closure in 2020.
“Enchanted Tales with Belle” will welcome guests back starting February 19, 2023.
The Great Goofini
This announcement brings back more character entertainment to Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland, and they will be joining the recently reopened “Pete’s Silly Sideshow” which is home to the Great Goofini, The Astounding Donaldo, Minnie Magnifique, and Daisy Fortuna.
