‘Strange World’ Sneak Peek Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios Starting Today

Walt Disney Animation Studios is bringing a special sneak peek of its latest film, “Strange World,” to Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World starting today, November 4, 2022.

The Details

Guests visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios can find the sneak peek of the film at the Walt Disney Presents attraction located in the Animation Courtyard, near the entrance to Toy Story Land for a limited time.

Park admission and a valid reservation for the same day are required to enter the park.

Here are the film’s stars Jake Gyllenhall and Gabrielle Union announcing the event:

According to Disney Parks, sneak peeks of the film will also be coming soon to Disneyland Paris and Disney Cruise Line, but they haven’t given dates for that.

The Film

“Strange World” centers on the legendary Clades, a family of explorers whose differences threaten to topple their latest and most crucial mission, one which will take them into an uncharted and treacherous land where fantastical creatures await.

Gyllenhaal (“Spider-Man: Far From Home”) voices the young Searcher Clade in this animated adventure. Joining him are Dennis Quaid (Jaeger Clade), Gabrielle Union (Meridian Clade), Jaboukie Young-White (Ethan Clade), and Lucy Liu (Callisto Mal).

And of course it’s not an animated Disney adventure without a cute sidekick, and “Strange World” has two: a three-legged dog, and an alien blob named Splat.

Helmed by Don Hall (Oscar-winning “Big Hero 6,” “Raya and the Last Dragon”) with co-director/writer Qui Nguyen (co-writer “Raya and the Last Dragon”), and produced by Roy Conli (Oscar-winning “Big Hero 6,” “Tangled”), this film will take audiences into a larger-than-life adventure they won’t forget.

Hall says the story is a nod to pulp magazines, that existed from around the 1900s to the 1950s.

The “Strange World” adventure begins in theaters on November 23, 2022.
