The first trailer for Lucasfilm and Imagine Entertainment’s “Willow” was released today. The all-new live-action fantasy adventure series picks up years after the conclusion of the classic 1988 feature film.
In the new Willow streaming series, a small unlikely group of heroes, sets of on an adventure into the unknown. Once again the world is threatened and everyone must face their inner demons and come together to defeat their foes.
“There is a balance between all things, light and shadow, good and evil. When that balance is upset, the universe corrects.”
Set in an enchanted land of breathtaking beauty, the new Willow promises to be an epic adventure with a modern sensibility.
The new series will still feature all the magic and mythical creates of the original films (trolls, brownies, sorcerers, creatures) along with a few new entries to the Willow canon.

A story of a child destined to be an empress, and the unlikely hero who would protect her. That was the basic idea of the first movie.
What I loved around the original Willow is that it knew how to have fun. But it also had a fantastic hero’s journey story built around Willow Ufgood. But Willow has already had his journey and is a powerful sorcerer of his own. Now he will help others begin on their own paths.
We’ve been following the possibility of a sequel to Willow for over 15 years. I can’t tell you how happy I am that we will finally get to see it later this year!
The streaming series stars Warrick Davis returning as WIllow Ufgood, a Nelwyn dwarf sorcerer. Also in the cast are Erin Kellyman (Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), Ellie Bamber, Tony Revolori (Flash in the MCU Tom Holland Spider-Man movies), Ruby Cruz (Mare of Easttown), Amer Chadha-Patel, Dempsey Bryk and Talisa Garcia. Jonathan Kasdan, Ron Howard, Wendy Mericle, Kathleen Kennedy and Michelle Rejwan serve as executive producers
“Willowā€¯ will premiere November 30, 2022, exclusively on Disney+.
