Hard to believe, but it’s already been five years since Pandora – the World of Avatar opened to previews at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Even if you’re not a big fan of the movie, you have to admit that Imagineering did a stellar job of recreating the look, soundscape, and bioluminescent nighttime experience first seen on the big screen.
Never one to miss a chance to create merchandise for an anniversary, Disney Parks has unveiled multiple lines of Avatar inspired goods that will help you celebrate the milestone in style. You’ll look out of this world day and night in the looks inspired by the lush flora, fauna, and culture of the Na’vi of Pandora.
We recently had an opportunity to talk with one of Disney’s merchandise marketing managers about the new lines of unique wearables, housewares, and fun collectibles for the Pandora visitor.
We have been looking for merchandise with the beautiful mural above the Banshee rookery to have a few pieces that finally have it is great. We love that umbrella and will definitely be scooping that up the moment we see it.
Disney hasn’t released much merchandise with the Valley of Moara name on it. So grab those if you see them. We also really appreciate how they’ve made so much merchandise that illuminates, including the sprites, as that captures a lot of what we love about Pandora.
We already spotted two t-shirts that didn’t make that interview already inside the park including t-shirts that celebrate the actual fifth anniversary, one of which is a passholder exclusive.
