'Black-ish,' 'Encanto,' and More Nab Several NAACP Image Awards for Disney

This past week, the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) hosted its annual Image Awards to honor outstanding performances in film, television, theatre, music, and literature.

Over the course of five nights, the awards were given out online with film and television awards aired live on the BET Network (and other Paramount-owned networks) last night (2/26) in a broadcast hosted by Anthony Anderson (who also won an award).

Disney-owned networks and studios received several nominations, and when everything was announced, won six awards, with three going to ABC’s “Black-ish” in its last year on air.
