The “Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade” returns to ABC, and will air Saturday, December 25 from 10am-Noon EST/PST, making for a perfect Christmas wake-up.
Siblings Derek and Julianne Hough will host from Walt Disney World Resort, alongside Freeform’s Trevor Jackson (“grown-ish”) and Sherry Cola (“Good Trouble”) from the Disneyland Resort.
The highlight of the show is, of course, the Disney Christmas parade, which will feature many of your favorite Disney characters in their holiday finest. Here are some preview photos:
In addition to the Christmas parade, there will be musical performances including:
- Derek Hough and Julianne Hough – “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town”
- Jimmie Allen – “White Christmas”
- Kristin Chenoweth – “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”
- Darren Criss – “Christmas Dance”
- Meg Donnelly – “Jingle Bell Rock”
- Brett Eldredge – “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”
- Norah Jones – “Run Rudolph Run”
- Pentatonix – “I Saw Three Ships”
- Gwen Stefani – “Cheer for the Elves”
Chance the Rapper is included in the promo photos for the special, too, but Disney isn’t saying what he’s singing.
With 2022 looming on the horizon, I’m sure Disney will also show sneak peeks of attractions and more that will be coming to the parks next year.
If you miss it Christmas Day, or if you want to watch it again, it will stream the next day on Hulu.
I’ll be watching for the parade and Pentatonix…how about you?
