Disney Parks has announced that parking trams will be returning to Walt Disney World starting later this month.
Disney says the trams will be returning to Magic Kingdom later this month, and then to the other Walt Disney World theme parks throughout 2022.
I know a lot of Disney guests will be very happy!
Parking trams, carrying guests from the parking areas of the theme parks to the ticketing areas, have been a part of Walt Disney World since the park opened in 1971.
But when Walt Disney World reopened after pandemic closure in July 2020, many guests were disappointed the parking trams did not return to operations right away.
The walk into the parks from the parking areas can be challenging for older guests, guests with mobility issues, families with younger children, and more…but that return to the car after a full day at the parks can be even more challenging.
After a year and half without the parking trams, guests will finally have them back. If we hear more specific dates for each park, we’ll let you know.
Are you happy the parking trams are coming back to Walt Disney World?
