Walt Disney World Resort is continuing its commitment to the Central Florida community throughout the season of giving by honoring a Disney Thanksgiving Day tradition of hosting the annual holiday meal service at the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida.
Walt Disney World chefs have taken turns over the years preparing a traditional Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings for residents of the Coalition for the Homeless.
This year, the Disney’s Hollywood Studios culinary team is carrying on the tradition more than 20 years in the making.
In the video below, the WDW Ambassadors take you behind the scenes of the chefs preparing the meals to take to the Coalition…
The Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida was formed in 1987 by a group of concerned citizens who noted a growing problem of homelessness in the community.
Each day they serve more than 500 men, women and children through its residential programs, as well as more than 100 unsheltered individuals through community initiatives.
You can learn more about them at centralfloridahomeless.org.
It is a time-honored tradition for Disney VoluntEARS, as well, to team up with culinary cast to help serve this special Thanksgiving Day meal made with love.
Kudos for Walt Disney World’s culinary team and Disney VoluntEARS for continuing to make a difference in Central Florida!
