In addition to announcing the menus for the new Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Walt Disney World also announced the restaurant would have an adjacent lounge area.
Enjoy drinks inspired by the history of the area, including cocktails that evoke scents of citrus groves, and more beverages that are reminiscent of the 1970s.
The Citrus Grove Cocktail (Italian bitter, green herbal liqueur, citrus juices, simple syrup, and orange bitters) and the Steakhouse 71 Vodka Gimlet (vodka, green herbal liqueur, herbal blend, lime juice, simple syrup, and Minute Maid Premium Lemonade) are two of the cocktails inspired by Florida. The “Lily” pad garnish on the gimlet is said to be in honor of Lillian Disney.
Steakhouse 71 mixologists have also updated the classic 70’s cocktail, the Tequila Sunrise, which is made with tequila, tropical juices, rosemary simple syrup, and house-made grenadine. It’s even available in a sharable size for 2-4 guests at lunch and dinner.
If you need something to nosh on with your drinks, the Steakhouse 71 chefs hae whipped up some Lounge Bites to enjoy. Here is the menu of dishes that will be offered:
Here is a photo of the PB&J Chicken Wings from the Lounge Bites menu, featuring a sweet peanut glaze and jelly powder. I bet those would go great with a bourbon or whiskey drink.
Whether you’re waiting for a table, or just want a drink and a snack, this lounge sounds like a place to check out.
