Making good on his “I’m going to Disney World” promise made after winning his 7th Superbowl championship as an NFL quarterback, Tom Brady has landed on the planet Batuu and explored Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback celebrated his team’s victory over an Easter weekend visit to Walt Disney World with his family. Watch this video with his thoughts on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and other encounters throughout Galaxy’s Edge.
While visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Brady enjoyed a lot of the same activities the typical guest can experience. He built his own lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop, drank Blue and Green Milk, interacted with beloved Star Wars characters and experienced the popular attractions Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
The “I’m Going to Disney World” campaign got its start in 1987 when New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms first appeared in the Disney commercial and visited Walt Disney World Resort following his team’s Super Bowl victory. Since then megastars of many different sports have participated in the campaign with a visit to one of Disney’s popular theme parks around the world.
Brady’s teammate Rob Gronkowski visited shortly after the Super Bowl in February after also appearing in the “I’m Going to Disney World” commercial.
Brady is clearly a fan of the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attractions and experience and who doesn’t love to play with a light saber and interact with Star Wars characters.
If you won a special contest and could say “I’m going to Walt Disney World”. which one Star Wars character would you bring with you on a trip to Batuu? Let us know in the comments below
