Watch the epic Star Wars: The Bad Batch official trailer

A brand-new trailer for “Star Wars: The Bad Batch,” the next animated television series from Lucasfilm and Disney, has just dropped and clearly there is an epic adventure awaiting.

Fans of the Star Wars animated television series already know that the depth of storytelling on the small green is often as good and emotional as that which we see in the movies.

This show will follow the “Bad Batch,” a group of clones first seen in “The Clone Wars” animated series.

Five advanced clones, each with their own specialty, who, together, can be as effective as an entire battalion of clones. Just one problem, they don’t like to obey orders.

While there are some serious “A-Team” vibes here, it also feels very Star Wars. Not that anything produced by Dave Filoni wouldn’t feel like it belonged in the Star Wars galaxy of stories.

That’s one of the things we love about the stories created by George Lucas, there’s so much backstory and history to explore. In this case it’s a little corner of the world following the Clone War.

About the show:

“Star Wars: The Bad Batch” follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in “The Clone Wars”) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch—a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army—each possess a singular exceptional skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.
