Marvel Animation makes a strong move into the adult animated genre with the funny irreverent “Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K.” The comedy series follows the megalomaniacal supervillain M.O.D.O.K. (aka the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing) as he pursues his dream of conquering the world.
M.O.D.O.K. was born George Tarleton, now he’s an evil villain whose large head has taken over most of his body after mutagenic medical experiments designed to increase his intelligence.
In this series, M.O.D.O.K. faces the reality that his evil organization A.I.M. has been bankrupted by years of setbacks and failures fighting Earth’s mightiest superheroes.
Now M.O.D.O.K. is left to deal with a crumbling marriage and family life, being ousted as A.I.M.’s leader, and new challenges.
I wasn’t sure I was going to like this show, but I’m laughing out loud at the trailer. Watch the trailer here and tell us what you think in the comments below:
“Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K.” is created and written by executive producers Jordan Blum and Patton Oswalt. They also recently collaborated on a comic book series featuring M.O.D.O.K. called Head Games.
I’m a huge fan of Patton Oswalt. He’s the perfect choice to voice M.O.D.O.K.. We also love the stop motion animation used in the series.
I’ll be tuning in on May 21st when the new series drops its first 10 episodes on Hulu.
