We’ve all had that slightly depressing experience of getting the wake up call from Mickey Mouse on your final day of a Disney Vacation. It’s a sad feeling knowing you’ll soon be leaving the magic behind, but a new magical surprise from Disney Parks will allow your Disney vacation to follow you home courtesy the Play Disney Parks app for your smartphone.
Disney resort guests who booked a 3-night or longer stay in 2020 will get a special letter at home thanking them for their visit. But this is no ordinary letter, Disney will include a special QR code you can scan with your mobile device to unlock a bonus screen in the Play Disney Parks mobile app.
Once you’ve unlocked the magic, you’ll find that your pal Mickey Mouse has added all sorts of interactive fun and games for your family and friends to continue exploring even at home.

In addition to providing a virtual level of fun and games on your iPhone or Android smartphone before, during, and now after your Disney parks visit, the Play Disney Parks app also includes access to Disney Parks playlists through Apple Music, a Star Wars datapad when you’re visiting Batuu in Galaxy’s Edge, and other goodies.
We like how Disney is continuing to explore how mobile apps, especially augmented reality, can add a new layer of magic to your Disney vacation. We know there’s a lot more magic coming in the future and we can’t wait to see it.
