I’m really enjoying this promotional series from Disneyland for its opening of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Disneyland has found a set of Star Wars superfans with heartwarming stories and gave them early access to the ride.
The first story released was about Angel, a woman who identifies with Star Wars after seeing how it treated Luke Skywalker, who is missing part of a limb, like her. Today’s story features Parker Anderson, a young man who faces the world with unwavering optimism despite some difficult cards dealt to him with chronic illnesses.
Travel along with Parker on his adventure into the Star Wars Galaxy and hear his story here:
Parker was diagnosed with diabetes and a very rare tumor-growing syndrome which often leaves him in a lot of pain and discomfort. His family recalled that because they knew he loved Star Wars, when the pain was difficult, they would encourage him by telling him to “use the Force” to overcome it. He is definitely Resistance Ready.
Are you planning to become a Hero of the Resistance and ride Star Wars: The Rise of the Resistance at Disneyland?
“Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance” opens January 17th at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA.
