Disney wins with nearly 41 million Disney+ App Downloads Already

The future for The Walt Disney Company looks good after industry estimates report the Disney+ app was downloaded almost 41 million times since it rolled out at the end of last year. The numbers come from the Apple App store and Google Play according to a report from mobile analytics firm Sensor Tower as reported by CNET.

These numbers don’t include Disney Plus installs on smart TVs, devices like Roku and Amazon Firesticks, or gaming consoles.

In the first 60 days of the rollout in the US, Sensor Tower estimates Disney+ has generated about $97.2 million in user spending. That doesn’t include all the Baby Yoda and Mandalorian merchandise either.

Shares of Disney trended upward on the strong demand. If you’re a Disney+ subscriber let us know what you like and dislike about the service so far.

  1. My only dislike so far is their search feature. I find it to be terrible for characters like “Donald duck” or “chip and dale”. It will only show a few legitimate results and then things that are obviously not related (like National Geographic).

After watching one of the few clips, suggested clips will show up that we’re never in the original search results.
