It takes a lot of energy to be an actor performing as a Disney character even when it’s for a promotional video. Just watch this video shoot for Disney Cruise Line we peeked in on in last September.
We were docked next to the Disney Dream when we saw some interesting activity as Captain Minnie Mouse her sailor friends Goofy and Donald were filmed for what looks like a commercial or TV show.
Disney Cruise line likes to say they’re the only cruise ships with five captains — the ship’s captain, Captain Mickey, Captain Minnie, Captain Hook and Captain Jack Sparrow.
That water slide you see above the filming is actually the first water coaster built aboard a cruise ship. Walt Disney Imagineers elevated the AquaDuck water coaster on the Disney Dream to maximize space on the deck. The line can get long during the day at sea portion of your cruise, but when the ship is docked at a port, it’s the perfect time to ride!
While being docked next to the Disney Dream left us dreaming we were on that ship instead of ours, being able to watch a little of the magic being made from a unique vantage point was fun.
