The start of 2020 means the Summer Olympics are right around the corner. This week US Olympic Surf Team member Caroline Marks visited Walt Disney World for a family vacation, but she couldn’t help testing out the waves at Typhoon Lagoon’s state-of-the-art Surf Pool.
The video also shows Marks was joined by her siblings on the newest Disney water park attraction — Miss Adventure Falls. Marks hails from Melbourne Beach, FL and considered a gold medal contender at the Olympics in the Tokyo Games.
This is the first year a surfing competition will be featured at the summer Olympics. Typhoon Lagoon offers surf lessons for those with Olympic dreams, or who just want to hang-ten for a little while. If you already know how to surf, there are early morning open surf hours.
