Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is set to open in the summer of 2020 in the France pavilion at EPCOT. The new ride will shrink guests to Chef’s Remy’s size and send them on a super-sized adventure through Gusteau’s restaurant.
The entrance for the new attraction is in the back of the France pavilion, which means we get a whole new area to play as part of EPCOT’s biggest expansion since new pavilions were added decades ago. In addition to the new ride there will two new restaurants and a new restrooms areas.
We took an aerial ride above the expansion and checked out the status of construction in the area in our latest video:
Fans of the hit Pixar movie “Ratatouille” should find a lot to love on this attraction. We recently were given a sneak peak inside with a look at one of the attraction ride vehicles. Like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, they are trackless.
While this section of the inside looks pretty show ready, the exteriors in the new courtyard have a long way to go. There are some new buildings, but Disney has also had to do considerable architectural additions to make buildings that were meant to be backstage only look like a part of a Parisian streetscape.
Can’t wait until Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opens? EPCOT will offer a special preview in the form of a brand-new Remy topiary that will be the centerpiece of a Ratatoille Garden in the France Pavilion during the 2020 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival. As you might expect the garden will feature veggies that make up the ingredients of a ratatouille recipe. Talk about Farm to Table.
