It must be a very weird experience to move from filming a Star Wars movie or show on a set, where the world ends at what the camera doesn’t see to visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge where the world builoding extends as far as the eye can see. That was likely the experience of actress Gina Carano who recently visited the planet Batuu as created in Disneyland’s largest ever expansion.
Carano stars in the Disney+ original series “The Mandalorian” and was at the park to help celebrate its launch. In the show she plays Cara Dune, an “ex-rebel shock trooper” who first appears in the most recently released chapter 4 – Sanctuary.
Fans of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) may recognize Carano from her time in the octagon. She says that experience helped her prepare for her role and the fighting skills required. She also played the character of Angel Dust in “Deadpool” (2016).
If you find yourself at Disneyland, they’ve recently added some props from “The Mandalorian” inside Star Wars Launch Bay. If you’re in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, venture into Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities and see if you can find The Mandalorian’s helmet and rifle in his collection..
