2020 marks the launch of a new Disney stage tour. The all-new Disney Dance Upon A Dream will star singer, actress, and dancer Mackenzie Ziegler, on a 50 city tour. The show takes the cast on an electrifying journey to find their own beat in a fast-moving world that features a soundtrack of Disney’s greatest hits remixed and reimagined.
The original story unfolds around a present-day heroine and steps into the magical world of Disney that includes video and music from the most beloved films, including Beauty and the Beast, Moana and Cinderella.
“I am so excited to join the Disney family and create a new show that is driven by my passion for dance and music,” says Mackenzie Ziegler. “I grew up loving all things Disney, so the opportunity to tell an inspiring story through dance and the greatest Disney music of all time is a dream come true. The show will be everything magical we love about Disney, with a modern dance twist that you have to come and see live. I can’t wait!”
If you watched last summer’s “Dancing With The Stars: Juniors” on ABC, you saw Ziegler compete. She has also been cast in the upcoming sci-film “Let Us In.”
Zeigler is also know as “Kenzie” a singer, songwriter and recording artist and is something of a social media star with a combined fan base over more than 30 million followers. I’m not sure what that all ads up to, but my guess is a lot of Disney Dance Upon A Dream tickets will be sold.
The tour is an extension of Disney Concerts and Disney Music Group, the music arm of the Walt Disney Company. Right Angle Entertainment will produce the tour.
Tickets, Premium VIP seats and Preferred Seating will be available at www.DisneyDanceTour.com beginning November 20, 2019.
