Walt Disney World Resort Room Tour: AKL Kidani Deluxe Studio Standard View Room

Everybody who has stayed on property has a favorite Walt Disney World Resort. Whether it is the Boardwalk for the nightlife and location, the Beach/Yacht Club for its incredible pool, or one of the monorail resorts for its proximity to the Magic Kingdom. Whatever your preference is, nobody can deny how incredible the Animal Kingdom Lodge is.

Outside of traveling to the continent of Africa, few places can put your bedside within practically an arms distance of Giraffe’s, Zebra, and more. Since it’s opening on April 16, 2001, fans have gotten a chance to be immersed with over 30 species of wildlife. Molly and I got the chance to stay a few nights at this amazing resort and wanted to give you a full tour of one of Kidani’s Deluxe Studio’s.

Kidani Village was a Disney Vacation Club add on to this resort that opened in September on 2009 and added 300 new villas to the resort. My mother has been a DVC member for quite some time and when she offered a few nights in one of these studios, it was hard to say no.

The room was spacious and could sleep four. With one queen bed and a nicely sized pull out couch, the room was perfect for what we needed. The theming was of course fantastic as well. Whether it was handmade tapestry or the animal carvings in the shower, we felt truly on the African Savannah.

Though we did not have a Savannah view, we have had one before and actually really enjoyed this room regardless of the standard view. There was still rich vegetation everywhere outside of our window and we loved simply sitting on the balcony and enjoying the peace and quiet. You can always walk down the hallway to get amazing views of the animals and there are several lookouts outside as well.

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is also located in one of the quieter spots on property which felt nice to both of us especially when it came to the end of the day balcony sit downs. All in all, we loved this room and would highly recommend it to anybody planning on trying out Kidani Villas. The theming was amazing, the non Savannah room was both cheaper and did not bother us one bit and the quiet and calm demeanor of the resort made for relaxing nights after long days in the park.

Hope you enjoyed the video tour as well and keep following along the Disney Blog for more adventures.
