Next time you visit Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa head up to the second floor of the lobby where you’ll encounter a little bit of baroque enchantment encroaching on the Victorian elegance. The Beauty and the Beast themed “Enchanted Rose” lounge has officially opened to guests.
Inspired by the design of the recent live-action remake of “Beauty and the Beast,” the lounge features four unique spaces. The main bar, with its large chandelier inspired by Belle’s flowing golden ball gown, the library with french furnishings and classical baroque designs, a garden room inspired by the Beast’s castle and its enchanted forest, and an outdoor patio evoking the castle’s garden terrace.
We’re told this is only the first course in what will be a larger remodeling of the Grand Floridian lobby space in the coming years as the hotel looks to upgrade its facilities to match other more recently constructed luxury resorts. What other spaces at the Grand Floridian do you think deserve an upgrade or should be off-limits to construction?
Will you stop by “Enchanted Rose” on your next visit to the resort?
