Last night was the grand opening ceremony for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif. Before the big event Disney CEO was joined by George Lucas, the creator of the Star Wars franchise for a tour of the new land.

Part of the tour, of course, included the chance to see a full-scale representation of the iconic Star Wars space ship – the Millennium Falcon. They also took a few minutes to explore and ride the land’s first big attraction – Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – where everyone gets to help pilot the ship on an adventure where you’re actions, or lack there of, can impact the success of your mission.

Later in the day, during the land’s dedication, Lucas declared it “Star Tours on steroids.” Watch a replay of the dedication ceremony here :

You know the whole things reminds me of when Star Tours: The Adventures Continues was introduced back in 2011:

Are you looking forward to your first chance to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge?
