Earlier this year Disney Cruise Line renewed and extended their deal to sail out of Galveston, TX promising to add more departures than ever from the port. The Disney Wonder returns to Galveston for select sailings to the Caribbean or Bahamas beginning in late November 2019.
Some November and December sailings out of Texas will be cruising during the holiday season, which adds even more magic to the ship environment. Disney Wonder’s Assistant Cruise Director Glen tells us all about it:
The Disney Wonder was the second ship added to the Disney Cruise Line fleet and is very similar to its sister ship the Disney Magic. While the Magic has an Art Deco theme, the Disney Wonder features Art Nouveau. The Wonder also is the only ship with “Frozen, A Musical Spectacular” and the wonderful “Tiana’s Place” restaurant. Kids will enjoy the Marvel Super Hero Academy in the Oceaneer Club while adults will find entertainment in the After Hours unique clubs and bars (including our favorite the Cadillac Lounge).
If you would like to celebrate the holidays at sea on a Disney cruise from Texas, your options include four-, six- and seven-night itineraries. Caribbean cruises include stops in Grand Cayman; Cozumel, Mexico; and Falmouth, Jamaica, while Bahamian adventures feature stops at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, and Key West, Florida. Two of the Bahamian sailings also take you to Nassau, Bahamas, while another includes an exclusive second day on Castaway Cay (the ultimate bonus port!).
