Over the last few years ABC commissary at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been experimenting with a mix of menu and service option. They’re now enhancing one of the more successful ones, a new dinner menu with a fast-casual approach. The new system will also allow guests to make advanced dining reservations for seatings starting at 4pm daily.
Instead of ordering and waiting for your food, you’ll order at one of the cast registers and receive a pager to take to your table. Then, when the order is ready, a Disney cast member will bring the food right to your table. Adding reservations to this systems allow guests to be sure they’ll get a seat instead of queuing up, as is sometimes required when the restaurant gets busy.
Bookings are available now for days starting June 2, 2019 and beyond.
With a slew of new attractions set to open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios leading up to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the demand for in-park dining is going to climb. It will be nice to know you’re going to get a seat instead of having to queue up and then wait for a table after ordering.
The enhanced menu includes entrees like:
- Vegan Burger, a mouthwatering plant-based burger topped with vegan mayonnaise-ketchup blend, spicy Sriracha mustard and griddled balsamic glazed onions and bell peppers,
- BBQ Rib Platter with tender dry-rubbed slow-smoked pork ribs tossed in a sweet BBQ sauce served with coleslaw, pickles, and steak fries.
- Shrimp Teriyaki Bowl dinner entrée with stir-fried shrimp, Napa cabbage, snap peas, red peppers, carrots, onions, edamame, shiitake mushrooms, and broccoli tossed in a house-made teriyaki sauce and served over brown rice.
- Coming Soon: Pot Roast served over mashed potatoes and root vegetables with beef gravy and onion straws.
The restaurant is current adding a few enhancements to the facilities too. Soon there will be self-serve beverage stations, more art-deco inspired decor and furnishings, and additional menu options. They’ve already updated their menu boards to easily update-able monitors.
