There are three big projects going on on the Westside of Disney Springs. One is drawing to an end, the other two have a ways to go yet.
Jaleo, and its take-away counter Pepe, are very nearly ready to open. A few final touches on the exterior remain, but employees are reporting to the location for training and many of the exterior walls have been removed.
Here’s more information on what to expect when Jaleo opens.
Walls may have come down from around Jaleo, but there are now walls around parts of the Cirque Du Soleil tent. One set of walls blocks off the entrance to the gift shop and the other is over by the administrative offices. A new show is coming to Cirque Du Soleil’s Disney Springs theater based on beloved Disney characters. Auditions for performers are already underway and work has been permitted for the theater for a few months now.
The third building on the westside is actually two businesses in one. The NBA Experience will be most of the building, designed to resemble an NBA sports arena, but one corner of the building will be a new restaurant.
Look to the top of the NBA Experience and you can see a giant metal structure with holes drilled out of it in a pattern. When the NBA Experience is finished, those patterns will light up and bring the structure to life with iconic sports figures.
The new restaurant is the City Works Eatery & Pour House. Designed for those who enjoy local, regional, and global craft brews paired with good eats and large screen TVs for sports viewing, City Works will be a nice addition to that end of Disney springs.
