The internet was smiling wide when it was announced that Billy Dee Williams would return as Lando Calrissian in Star Wars: Episode IX, but a report from Making Star Wars, indicates Williams will only be on screen for a little bit. He reportedly helps the main characters by giving them a big hint during their search for the movie’s MacGuffin and will be wearing a yellow shirt similar to the one worn by Donald Glover in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
That’s not a lot, but another rumor indicates this won’t be the last we hear from the Calrissian family. Not sure how much faith to put in it, but his daughter may play a larger role in the film.
Looking at some leaked character concept art for Episode IX, it looks like we’ll be encountering a lot of new creatures and droids. There’s also a look at Kylo Ren’s new helmet. I won’t share them here, but they’re pretty easy to find including on Making Star Wars.
Production on Star Wars: Episode IX is winding down with some of our favorite characters wrapping up their time on the film. None was more touching than C-3PO actor Anthony Daniel’s signoff on Twitter.
Today was 3PO's last on Episode IX. He's sad – so am I. But we're so proud to have worked with such a lovely, talented cast & crew lead by J.J. & Kathy. I'll miss everyone but I'm glad to know that we've been making something exceptional together, to share with the waiting world.

In another tweet, Daniels cryptically teased the release of the full title for Episode IX would be coming soon, but a few days later and we’re still waiting.
We’re sure more will be revealed regarding Star Wars: Episode IX at the Star Wars Celebration in April, including it’s first big movie trailer. Are you going?
What comes after Star Wars: Episode IX? We read in TV Line that Game of Thrones creators David Benoiff and DB Weiss are still working on a trilogy of Star Wars films. They’re currently finishing up the final season of GoT. With 10,000 years of Jedi history to explore, I’m hoping this new trilogy goes back and explores earlier more-lawless days before the Jedi Order helped to maintain peace among planets.
Are you looking forward to seeing Star Wars: Episode IX as directed by JJ Abrams?
