Disney among ‘World’s Most Admired Companies’

According to Fortune magazine’s annual survey of corporate reputations, The Walt Disney Company has moved up the list of the World’s Most Admire Companies moving from 6th in 2018 to 4th in 2019. Disney leads all entertainment related companies on Fortune’s list, which recognizes the Disney’s social responsibility, people management, long-term investment value and global competitiveness, among other key attributes of reputation.

Fortune partnered with the global management consulting firm Korn Ferry to determine the best-regarded companies in 52 industries, as well as 50 “All-Stars.” Korn Ferry surveyed executives, directors and analysts about enterprises in their own industries, looking at nine criteria from investment value, quality of management and products to social responsibility and ability to attract talent. The 50 All Stars were selected by 3,750 executives, directors and securities analysts, who were asked to name the 10 companies they admired most. The full list of All Stars is available at Fortune.com.

You may recall hearing that Disney recently placed fourth on Forbes’ list of the World’s Best Employers for 2018 and earned the top spot on Forbes’ list of the World’s Best Regarded Companies for 2018. Not too shabby for a company that’s 95 years old.
