The Walt Disney World resort has announced its latest ‘Free Dining Plan’ travel package options and this year they’re perfect for your summer vacation. The resort wants you to visit in the summer before Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens and is hoping the free dining plan package is the cheese that will get you to come.
The Free Dining Plan is available to guests booking a non-discounted 5-night/6-day Disney World vacation package that includes a room at select Disney Resorts and a minimum 4-day ticket with a Park Hopper Option or Park Hopper Option.
Book now through February 10, 2019 for arrivals most nights July 5 through September 30, 2019.
The level of dining plan you get on your package deal varies based on the resort hotel level you are staying at. The Disney Deluxe resorts and villas offer the full Disney Dining Plan, while the Moderate and Value Resorts offer the Quick-Service dining plan. You can upgrade your dining plan for an additional amount per night.
Not on the list this year are the Villas at Grand Floridian, Bungalows at Polynesian Bungalows & Villas, Cabins at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins, Port Orleans – French Quarter, All-Star Movies, Little Mermaid rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and Fort Wilderness Cabins or Campsites.
In the end everyone needs to compare packages and see if the Free Dining Plan package makes sense for them. Yes, you get free food on your trip, but you’re typically paying rack rate or close to it at the hotel you’re staying at and full price for your admission media. The rooms available for these packages do sell out fast, so don’t wait too long to figure it out.
